We will definitely put a focus on this. However, how can we manage if we’re under time pressure (leaving for school, having to run some errands before an appointment)?

I noticed recently that my daughter’s meltdowns resolve better when I stay calm and let her be. The only concern I have is when she starts hitting, kicking, shouting and damaging doors, walls, furniture in those moments. I don’t want to accept this behaviour. I say it’s okay to feel upset, angry, sad but we do not hit, kick, break things. But during a meltdown she forgets about those boundaries and there is no way out. What can I do?

It’s important for parents and caregivers to understand that children may sometimes hide their feelings or reject comfort, and this behavior doesn’t necessarily indicate a lack of trust or connection. The article provides valuable insights into how to support children in expressing their emotions and offering comfort in a respectful and understanding manner.
