I think it’s as important to appreciate differences as it is to get that we’re all human. I’ve noticed those differences between a male or female author’s perspective as well, otherwise how could you write from having been a mom? Having raised my girl and my boy, looking back my husband’s often silent presence was strong, needed, and modeled.
We noticed early on that both kids are like both parents in character, preferences, talents as artists, yet also a distinct outward beauty and inner reference.
I don’t mean perfect, but that remembering
humanity first allows for the flowering of either gender and/ or balance of both.

this gives me such a great perspective about my 2 boys – 4 and 6 yrs old. Yesterday we went to an extra curricular activity for which they were both in the same class. class starts 1030am, had lunch break at around 1130am. After that break, we were told they started chasing each other and refused to listed to the teacher direction. We go to that program since Sept, i never see other kids chase each other like mine. now i realize other families dont have 2 boys of similar age.
