Are all toys meant to remain contained in the yes space? My 16 month old just cries in the section of living room that is his gated yes space, if myself or hubby isn’t in there with him.
It’s also a small space and our son likes to run run run! Is it confusing for him to have toys inside and out? He has a small cupboard with four toys outside the yes space for his evening entertainment just before bed, so hubby and I can sit on the sofa together before the routine starts.

If he’s out of the space he will make toys of the oven gloves, dog toys, clothes to run around with, too. He enjoys holding an object and running with it, back and forth.
